Job summary

Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa seeks a Level I Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with disability, injury, disease, or amputation under the guidance of senior therapists and the Rehab Medicine Manager. You will develop treatment plans, apply modalities, and document patient care within an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an OK physical therapy license and BLS certification; new graduates must complete licensure within 9 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Post Graduate Degree preferred.
• OK Physical Therapy License required.
• New graduates must take the exam within 3 months and obtain full licensure within 9 months.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients under supervision, aiming for maximum independence.
• Plan treatment programs and administer modalities per physician prescription.
• Document and communicate patient information to all relevant parties; supervise Physical Therapist Assistants if needed.

Under the guidance of the Manager of Rehab Medicine, and level II and III Physical Therapists, the level I Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of the patient's needs following disability, injury, disease, or amputation, to help attain a maximum level of independence and performance. The therapist plans treatment programs and administers modalities and other related procedures, under the prescription of the patient's physician. Treatment will be provided in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. He/she is responsible for the documentation and communication of all necessary information to all appropriate parties. The therapist is responsible for the care of patients in all patient care areas of OSU Medical Center, as the situation requires. The therapist may also supervise Physical Therapist Assistants. The therapist must follow standards of performance for Physical Therapy as established by all governing bodies. He/she also performs other duties as required.
