Job summary

OSU Medical Center is seeking a Level I Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients after disability, injury, disease or amputation, under the guidance of Rehab Medicine managers and senior therapists. The role includes planning treatment programs, administering modalities, and documenting care for patients across all service areas.

Responsibilities include supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants when needed, and maintaining licensure and BLS certification in accordance with governing

Qualifications

• 4-year/Bachelor's Degree required.
• Post Graduate Degree preferred.
• OK Physical Therapy License required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with disability, injury, disease, or amputation to maximize independence and function.
• Plan and administer treatment programs and modalities per physician prescription.
• Document and communicate all information to appropriate parties.
• Care for patients across all patient care areas; supervise Physical Therapist Assistants as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required and adhere to professional standards.

SIGN-ON BONUS $15,000.00 Under the guidance of the Manager of Rehab Medicine, and level II and III Physical Therapists, the level I Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of the patient’s needs following disability, injury, disease or amputation, to help attain a maximum level of independence and performance. The therapist plans treatment programs and administers modalities and other related procedures, under the prescription of the patient’s physician. Treatment will be provided in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. He/she is responsible for documentation and communication of all necessary information to all appropriate parties. The therapist is responsible for care of patients in all patient care areas of OSU Medical Center, as situation requires. The therapist may also supervise Physical Therapist Assistants. The therapist must follow standards of performance for Physical Therapy as established by all governing bodies. He/she also performs other duties as required.
