Summit Health in Maine seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to perform initial exams, document prognosis and plan treatments, and progress patients toward goals. You will supervise staff and educate patients on therapy, injury prevention, and home care, coordinating with physicians as needed.

The role requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, NYS license, BLS, and strong communication. Salary range $80,000–$110,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• NYS Physical Therapy License and Registration required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Strong communication with patients, insurers, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of EMR, MS Word/Excel, PT billing codes.
• Knowledge of manual PT treatments, use of modalities and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document an initial exam, identifying problems and a diagnosis.
• Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in EMR.
• Plan and carry out individually designed physical therapy programs.
• Evaluate treatment effects and adjust plans for maximum benefit.
• Direct, supervise, and communicate with supportive personnel.
• Provide educational information on physical therapy and injury prevention.
• Discharge patients and arrange follow-up care or referrals.
