Job summary

Cape Fox Concentric Methods seeks a Physical Therapist (temporary) to join our team at Camp Pendleton, CA. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, planning treatment programs, and administering therapeutic exercises to help patients achieve functional goals.

The role features a typical 10-hour day schedule over roughly six months, with travel as needed (0-10%). Eligible candidates must hold CAPTE-accredited education, a current PT license, and be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physical therapy or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year post-graduate PT experience within the last 2 years
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited program
• Current, full, active PT license in the United States
• Authorization to work in the United States as required by law

Responsibilities

• Plan and write treatment programs based on patient evaluation
• Administer manual exercises to improve function
• Instruct and motivate patients in physical activities and device use
• Perform soft tissue mobilization and traction for pain relief
• Record treatment progress in charts or electronic systems

Job Description

Cape Fox Concentric Methods is seeking a Physical Therapist(temporary) to join our team in Camp Pendleton, CA.

The hourly range for this position$57.69 - $65.00per hour for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. This range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including specified holidays, paid sick and vacation leave, and 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Core Duties:

• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
• Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.
• Coordinate treatment with physicians and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient’s health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.
• Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.
• Knowledge and experience in patient tracking, patient reported outcome measures (PRO’s), and other relevant information related to evidence-based care and tracking.
• Patients per day is 12.

Schedule: This will be 10 hours for each day, approximately 6:00am - 7:30am to 3:30pm - 5:00pm. This position will be for approximately 6 months.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates priorto January 1, 2002.
• A minimum of one year post graduate experience as a physical therapist within the preceding two years.
• Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation inPhysical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
