Job summary

Cape Fox subsidiary Concentric Methods is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in an outpatient setting at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California. The PTA will support service members with supervised therapeutic interventions.

The position offers hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401K with company match. Travel is minor (0–10%).

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Physical Therapy Assistant or certification as PTA/technician (APTA).
• One year of PTA experience within past two years.
• Must be a US citizen and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, under supervision of the physical therapist.
• Administer traction and assist patients to learn functional activities.
• Observe and report patient responses and progress to the physical therapist.
• Fit and train patients in orthopedic braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• Coordinate with the PT and clinic staff to provide complete patient care.

Cape Fox subsidiary Concentric Methods is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in an outpatient setting to support the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California. The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide services to service members in an outpatient setting.

The total hourly pay for this non-exempt position is $45.67 for up to 40 hours per week. This is comprised of a base hourly rate of $40.58 plus $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) for up to 40 hours per week as required by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS) regulations. The above rate represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients, as directed by the physical therapist. Under supervision, administer such treatment as exercise, gait training, massage, whirlpool, hot packs, diathermy, ultrasound, paraffin, ice packs and traction. Instruct patients on segments of the program including proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, braces, and prosthetic appliances and devices.
• Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain, using intermittent and static traction equipment. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities.
• Observe patients during treatments and compile and evaluate data on patients' responses to treatments and progress and report orally or in writing to the physical therapist.
• Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Confer with members of the physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs. Coordinate with other departments and the clinic staff to provide complete care to patients.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree - Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant after graduation within the past two years.
• Must be a US Citizen and have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
