• Position: Physical Therapy Aide/Tech

• Pay: $16.50-$17 per hour

Responsibilities

Essential Functions of the Physical Therapist Technician Role:

• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms for patients.
• Understand the use of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, and perform progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin baths, and hot packs.
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patients before and after treatment.
• Assist physical therapy assistants and/or physical therapists during patient ambulation and gait training.
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, the public, and team members.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pre-physical therapy/allied health degree or background in health/wellness or personal training is preferred.
