Job summary

Montefiore is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver direct patient care in accordance with NYS guidelines and hospital policies. The role includes supervising PTAs, rehabilitation aides, and students, and working within a patient‑centered, team-based approach.

The candidate should hold a B.S. in Physical Therapy with NYS licensure and preferred experience; a Master’s degree is a plus. Typical hours are Tue–Sat 8am–3:30pm at the hospital location.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• New York State license and current registration or a limited permit if a recent grad.
• Knowledge of general therapeutic equipment and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care as outlined by NYS Physical Therapy Practice Act and hospital policy.
• Provide daily clinical supervision to PTAs, rehabilitation aides and students.
• Collaborate with the team and maintain customer service approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist provides direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment as outlined by the guidelines of NYS Physical Therapy Practice Act and Hospital policy.
• Provides daily clinical supervision to P.T.A.'s, Rehabilitation Aides and students.
• Embraces the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
