Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Resident - Sports Medicine in Madison, WI. This role is 40 hours per week, onsite at Science Dr. Medical Center, with shifts Mon-Fri between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

You will participate in education, guide rehabilitation after sports surgeries, and coordinate care with physicians. The position emphasizes biomechanical video analysis, athlete return-to-sport assessments, and collaboration with sports performance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• 2 years of prior relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in Wisconsin required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 3 months.

• Efficiently communicate with the sports primary care physicians and sports orthopedic surgeons for care coordination and collaboration.
• Provide specialty services using video analysis of sport biomechanics.
• Assess athletes so they can return to their sport.
• Work in collaboration with sports performance staff.
