Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy in the United States is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. The Physical Therapist develops and implements therapy programs to restore function and improve movement, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team and supervising assistants and aides as needed.

You will evaluate patients, design treatment plans, educate families, and ensure safety and confidentiality while complying with Medicare and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Current Physical Therapy license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Competency in PT evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patients to collect medical history, evaluate current physical ability, and develop rehabilitative treatment programs to maximize function or reduce pain.
• Uses therapeutic procedures, exercise, or equipment to restore movement, strength, or flexibility.
• Coordinates care across an interdisciplinary team and oversees PT assistants and allied staff.
• Periodically re-evaluates patient status and modifies care plan in response.
• Educates patients and families about expectations throughout the recovery process.
• Mantains patient confidentiality and safety; adheres to standards and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
