Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to join the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. You will assess patients, create personalized therapy plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to restore mobility and reduce pain.

Working with physicians and care teams, you will monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families on exercises and safety. Mentoring may be involved to support therapy assistants and students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• BS or MS in Physical Therapy.
• Active Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and refine therapy plans; document outcomes timely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safe practices.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions.
• Mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare values.
