Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a Weekend Physical Therapist (PT) to join the team at Northern Riverview in Haverstraw, NY. The role supports residents in a state-of-the-art rehab gym within a Skilled Nursing Facility.

We encourage new grads and offer mentorship, flexible weekend hours, and career growth. Responsibilities include evaluating residents, creating rehab plans, and guiding PT assistants while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
