Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in Staten Island, NY is recruiting a weekend Physical Therapist (PT) for our Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing facility. You will evaluate residents, develop rehab plans, and relieve pain through exercises and hands-on therapy in a state-of-the-art rehab gym.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy, and stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect facility information confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

Current New York State PT License

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands‑on therapy & stretching
