Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, with a focus on orthopedic and neurologic conditions. The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

You will design and adjust care plans, educate patients and families, and document outcomes in the EMR while collaborating with referring providers. The compensation range is $40.84 per hour to $70.24 per hour, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with proper body mechanics.
• Educates patients, family and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations with reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Produces documentation in the EMR per policy.
• Screens patients to determine the need for therapy services and response to treatment.
• Completes annual education for Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Evaluates orthopedic and neurologic impairments and establishes a plan of care based on functional deficits.
