Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Per Diem Days Physical Therapist to support patients in their homes across Texas. You will assess, plan and implement therapy interventions to improve movement and daily function, with periodic reexaminations and discharge planning as needed.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas PT license, CAPTE-accredited degree, CPR certification, and possess strong patient care and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year of home health PT experience preferred; mentoring if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct 30-day reexaminations and discharge planning.

Attractive Pay

• Minimum Hourly: $50.00
• Maximum Hourly: $60.00

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
