Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Physical Therapist for a PRN Flex Schedule to help patients move, heal and regain function in the comfort of their homes.

You will provide PT interventions, reexaminations at least every 30 days, and discharge planning while ensuring quality care for diverse patient populations. A state license, CAPTE-accredited education, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of home health experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health (or approval with mentoring for less than 1 year).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days at minimum) and discharge planning.
• Perform discharge planning and other duties as assigned.

Attractive pay

$55.00 to $67.00 per hour for Orientation and will then convert to a per point pay method with a rate of 70.00 to 90.00

• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
