Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for per diem days to support patients in Massachusetts, including Plymouth and surrounding areas. You’ll help patients improve movement and function in home health settings.

Responsibilities include therapeutic interventions, monthly reexaminations, and discharge planning, with the option for mentoring if there is less than one year of experience. Comprehensive benefits are offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring/residency involvement may be required.
• Current CPR certification.

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations at least every 30 days, modify interventions as needed, and discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
