Lifepoint Health®-affiliated University Hospitals Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) for inpatient rehabilitation in Beachwood, OH. The role focuses on comprehensive assessments, individualized therapy plans, and collaboration with the care team to restore function and reduce pain.

The position emphasizes supervising PT assistants and students, and delivering high-quality care in a demanding hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physical Therapist license in Ohio.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care involving the patient according to capabilities and desires.
• Plans and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain or restore function.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard PT techniques suitable for age and condition.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students and other staff; communicates effectively.

How You'll Contribute

A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a Physical Therapist license in the state of Ohio. Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of hire
