What you will do in this role:

• Assume responsibility for patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Techs; may orient staff and students and act as supervisor in their absence
• Assess patient needs, initiate appropriate interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain standards for physical therapy practice
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, monitor progress towards goals, and recommend changes to physicians as needed
• Perform assessments and reassessments according to policy, ensuring accurate and timely quality improvement scoring; focus on adult and geriatric populations requiring medical rehabilitation
• Assess and manage patient pain to facilitate participation in rehabilitation, making physician contacts for interventions when necessary
• Develop and update individualized plans of care for physical therapy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of employment
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
