Duke University Hospital is the largest of Duke Health's three hospitals and features 1048 patient beds, 65 operating rooms, as well as comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including a regional emergency/trauma center, an endo-surgery center, and more.
Duke Health System PT/OT department is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide lymphedema and/or pelvic health services as part of our PRN PT float pool. Qualified candidates will have some experience treating lymphedema and completed a Level II pelvic health class or equivalent training.
Provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Include prevention and wellness services, such as screenings and health promotion. Serve as a resource for the team and participate in the orientation of new staff, physicians, and other health personnel. Engage in teaching activities for physical therapy and health-related students. Work within practice guidelines as defined by North Carolina state law.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, and transfer patients.
Education: Bachelor's degree or certification in physical therapy; Master's or Clinical Doctorate preferred.
Experience: None beyond required education; additional experience may be preferred.
Licensure: Current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina.
