Job summary

ACHE in Topeka, Kansas is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) for a day shift, full-time position. The role involves conducting PT evaluations, developing plans of care, and ensuring delivery of prescribed therapy in alignment with APTA standards and Kansas law.

The incumbent will supervise clinical staff and promote PT services across the organization and community, reporting to the department leader. A Kansas PT license is required, with BLS due within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active Physical Therapy license in State of Kansas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the physical therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff. Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.
