Clinic hours are 6:30 to 8:00 Monday through Friday. No weekend hours or inpatient rotation. Afternoon to evening hours preferred. Experience with cancer rehabilitation and/or chest wall surgical interventions preferred.
Interprets physician referrals, completes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations using appropriate methods.
Establishes and implements a plan of care based on evaluation results and functional goals, utilizing appropriate techniques. Monitors outcomes, adjusts treatment plans as needed, and provides updates to physicians and team members. Addresses factors affecting patient's physical and psychosocial comfort.
Prepares for patient discharge by providing home programs, teaching patients and families, referring to community services, planning transitions, and ordering equipment as needed. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure optimal patient care.
Completes all documentation in accordance with department policies and standards, including evaluations, progress notes, conference reports, and discharge summaries. Manages patient care records, daily statistics, billing, and scheduling. Adheres to insurance guidelines and departmental productivity standards.
Maintains a clean and organized treatment area. Performs manual techniques, patient positioning, transferring, and transporting duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling safely. Demonstrates proper use of modalities and exercise equipment, understanding indications and contraindications. Promotes safety and infection control.
Participates in quality improvement activities and manages caseload, communicating coverage needs. Supports department operations and regional needs.
Engages in ongoing professional development through education, in-services, and literature review. Assists in orienting new staff and evaluating colleagues.
May supervise physical therapy assistants, extenders, and students, delegating tasks and providing supervision while maintaining responsibility for patient care.
Minimum Job RequirementsEducation: Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; maintains continuing education as required.
Certification / License: Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice. BLS certification within 90 days as per department policy.
Work Experience: No experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intermediate computer skills; excellent communication and organization; decision-making and problem-solving skills; ability to provide age-appropriate care; understanding of growth and development principles.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 30 lbs., perform transfers, and use hands for manipulation. Must have functional senses for communication. Exposure to hazards and need for protective clothing. May require travel.

Pay Range: $40.30 - $60.45
