Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital; Fort Smith is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to support inpatient rehabilitation. You will evaluate patients, develop personalized plans, and provide hands‑on therapy to restore strength, mobility, and independence.

Join a multidisciplinary team and participate in patient education, documentation, and discharge planning. CPR certified PTs with rehab experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current PT license.
• CPR certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Previous experience in a rehab setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of physical conditions
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals
• Deliver hands‑on therapy to improve strength, mobility, and functional ability
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and long‑term wellness
• Document progress clearly and accurately in patient records
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team to support coordinated care and discharge planning
• Contribute to additional clinical duties as needed
