Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for Home Health to deliver objective assessments and comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients directly and rehabilitation technicians indirectly, with general supervision of PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts.

This full-time role requires licensure in the state of practice, current PT license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current State license of Physical Therapy (state of practice).
• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Six months to one year experience in Rehabilitation Physical Therapy preferred.
• Experience with care for adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Requirements

Education:

Preferred Experience:

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
