Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital; Fort Smith is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for inpatient rehabilitation. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients, develop personalized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team to support coordinated care and discharge planning.

The position offers full‑time hours with flexible scheduling, rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program, current PT license, CPR certification, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program, required.
• Current PT license, required.
• CPR certification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Previous experience in a rehab setting (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of physical conditions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals.
• Deliver hands‑on therapy to improve strength, mobility, and functional ability.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and long‑term wellness.
• Document progress clearly and accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team to support coordinated care and discharge planning.
• Contribute to additional clinical duties as needed.
