The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation in various settings. The Physical Therapist participates in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of assessments, and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and healthcare environment. Consults with other healthcare professionals as needed. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring plan modification or medical/rehabilitation consultation.
Completes discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately and timely documents and charges for patient care activities, including initial evaluation, plan of care, progress notes, interim summaries, and discharge evaluation.
Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Manages an accurate schedule. Provides frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, and empathetic behaviors.
Initiates and pursues continuing education for professional growth. Serves as a clinical instructor for students. Assists with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required for specific locations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
