The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The role involves participation in program planning, protocol development, and assisting the team in achieving established goals.

Primary Duties:

1. Provide evaluation services, review historical information, perform assessments, and document results. Explain findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
2. Implement treatment protocols proficiently based on evaluation findings and patient presentation. Consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Recognize and document changes in patient conditions requiring plan modifications.
3. Complete discharge planning and follow-up care. Document and charge for patient care activities accurately and timely, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
4. Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Ensure flexible, empathetic patient access to care through adaptability and professionalism.
5. Engage in continuing education for professional growth. Serve as a clinical instructor and assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as required for the specific location.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Additional Information:

This position offers a hiring range of $55.00 per hour.
