MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.

The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The role involves participating in program planning, protocol development, and assisting the team in achieving goals.

Primary Duties:
  1. Evaluation services: Review pertinent history, perform assessments, document results, explain findings, and involve patients and families in goal setting.
  2. Implementation of treatment protocols: Demonstrate proficiency, consult with healthcare professionals, recognize condition changes, and modify care plans as needed.
  3. Discharge planning and documentation: Complete appropriate discharge planning, document care activities accurately and timely, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  4. Time management and professionalism: Manage schedules effectively, meet productivity expectations, and provide empathetic, patient-centered care.
  5. Professional growth: Pursue continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Minimum Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
