Job summary

Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a PRN Home Health Physical Therapist (PT) to serve the Wichita area. You will perform evaluations and provide in-home PT services to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance safety for patients in their homes.

The role requires a DPT, an active Kansas license, strong clinical reasoning, and the ability to work independently in patients’ homes. Transportation and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• DPT degree from an accredited program is required.
• Active Kansas Physical Therapist license through KSBHA is required.
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working independently in a home health setting.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, endurance and mobility.
• Assess fall risk and implement safety and prevention strategies.
• Evaluate home environments and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient responses in EHR systems.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure coordinated care.
• Supervise PTAs as applicable.
• Maintain compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

We are seeking a PRN Home Health Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing therapy team in the Wichita area. This role involves providing skilled physical therapy evaluations and treatment services to patients in their homes, helping them improve functional mobility, reduce pain, and enhance safety and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility
• Assess fall risk and implement safety and prevention strategies
• Evaluate home environments and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment as needed
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient responses in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as applicable
• Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program (required)
• Active Kansas Physical Therapist license through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) (required)
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Requirements

• Valid Kansas PT license
• Reliable Vehicle
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a background check
