Job summary

Vista Ridge Senior Care in Lakeway, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist to develop and implement care plans for residents and short-term patients. The PT will supervise assistants, screen patients, communicate progress within the interdisciplinary team, and ensure compliant documentation.

New grads are welcome. The position offers a signing bonus, full-time hours, and a competitive hourly salary starting at $50.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and more.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Physical Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
• Provide supervision, as needed, for staff Physical Therapy Assistants in delivery of the PT plans of care.
• Assist as needed with patient screenings for the need for Physical Therapy.
• Communicate progress and any barriers toward PT goals with interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely PT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements.
• Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each PT patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.

This position is for a skilled nursing facility in Lakeway, which has both short-term and long-term patients. Vista Ridge Senior Care has an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads, all new equipment, and an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.
