Job summary

Pacific Coast Post-Acute is a premier short-term rehabilitation facility in Salinas, CA, seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. Positions are Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN with pay ranging $58.00-$70.00/hour DOE and H1B sponsorship available.

We offer a collaborative environment near Monterey Bay, with extensive ADL-focused facilities and ongoing career development opportunities for clinicians at all levels, including new graduates and internationally trained

Qualifications

  • Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
  • Strong communication, organizational and clinical reasoning skills.
  • New graduates and internationally trained therapists are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence and ADLs.
  • Utilize the ADL Suite for realistic functional training.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families.
  • Supervise COTAs in line with California practice guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation including evaluations and progress notes.
  • Participate in care conferences, discharge planning and quality initiatives.
  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions to improve functional independence, upper extremity function, cognition, and activities of daily living.
  • Utilize the ADL Suite to deliver realistic, goal-oriented functional training.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with California practice guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, recertifications, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, safety recommendations, and equipment use.
