Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID, is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for day shift coverage. The role involves evaluation and treatment of patients, development of Plans of Care, and ongoing patient and caregiver education.

Ideal candidates will have a PT degree (Bachelors/Master's/Doctorate), an Idaho license, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior experience is preferred but not required.

• Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist is responsible for the analysis and use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by physical injury or illness, pain, bodily malfunction, developmental disabilities, or the aging process in order to maximize independence, prevent disability, and maintain health.
• The practice of physical therapy encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation, and education of patients as well as caregivers.
• Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development.
• Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.
• Implements the Plan of Care.
• Completes effective, professional, and timely documentation.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and team members.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Current Idaho Physical Therapist license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• At least one year of Physical Therapist experience.
