Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh ARU unit in Pittsburg, KS is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time, dayshift position. A $10,000 signing bonus is offered to new team members who join our Lifepoint Rehabilitation team.

The role involves evaluating and treating patients, coordinating with nursing staff and families, and documenting care in line with regulatory and payer requirements. We value growth, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and guide daily progress.
  • Instruct nursing staff and families on follow-through programs.
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
  • Maintain equipment and workspace in a safe, clean condition.
  • Adhere to company code of conduct and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am -4:30pm rotating Saturdays

Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh ARU unit is a 12 bed inpatient Hospital located in Pittsburgh, KS. With an A grade in hospital safety from the Leapfrog Group, all private rooms and a CMS three-star rating, we help patients feel secure knowing our commitment to their dignity, safety, comfort and recovery. Our ARU Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What You Will Do In This Role
  • Put your physical therapy skills to work where they're really needed -evaluate a patient's condition, develop a treatment plan, and help them get better, day by day. You'll also instruct the nursing staff and the patient's families on follow-through programs that build on the progress they've made
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
  • Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
  • Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
  • Other duties as assigned
