Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) in Oakland, CA. The role offers a competitive salary range and a sign-on bonus. You will evaluate and treat residents under established plans, perform tests, and ensure proper documentation and privacy of records.

Requirements include a PT degree and a current California license; new graduates are welcomed. This position may be full- or part-time with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree, Master degree, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California license to practice Physical Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests for strength, ROM, coordination and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Provides direct resident treatment per care plan.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to support safe discharge of residents.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care..
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
