Job summary

New Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark, NJ seeks a licensed Physical Therapist for a full-time role in a sub-acute/long-term care setting. You will evaluate, plan, and direct PT treatments as prescribed by a physician to restore function and prevent disability.

You will supervise staff, ensure timely documentation, and uphold infection control with PPE in PUI rooms. Requires at least 2 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Physical Therapy License required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer PT modalities as prescribed by physician.

• Assist patients in reaching maximum potential within their capabilities.
• Supervise, coordinate and delegate tasks to supportive staff.

Full Job Description

• Setting:Sub-Acute/Long-term Care setting.

• Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.

• Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.

• Assists in helping patients reach their maximum potential and learning how to work within their capabilities.

• The staff therapist will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and delegating responsibilities to the supportive staff.

• Ensures patient changes are documented accurately and on time.

• Responsible for maintaining and helping to enforce any infection control with cleaning equipment and wearing proper PPE in PUI rooms.

• Must have at least 2 years experience in Skilled Nursing Setting.
