Hamaspik of Kings County is seeking per diem NYS-licensed Physical Therapists to provide therapeutic services in home settings for our Early Intervention program serving all five NYC boroughs, with the highest concentration in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• Experience with children who have disabilities in Early Intervention.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in home-based EI settings.
• Bilingual in Yiddish or Spanish is a plus.
• DOH fingerprinting clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children in their homes.
• Create family-centered treatment goals to maximize progress.
• Monitor and assess intervention effectiveness using a multidisciplinary approach.
• Maintain documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication.
• Educate families and caregivers about the therapeutic process.

PT Responsibilities include:

• Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with developmental delays
• Creating family centered treatment goals to facilitate carryover and maximum progress.
• Monitoring & assessing intervention effectiveness utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach.
• Maintaining appropriate documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication.
• Educating families and caregivers about the therapeutic process.

Physical Therapist Qualifications:

• Previous experience with children who have disabilities, in the Early Intervention
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Desire to improve the quality of life of children with special needs.
• Bilingual a plus (Yiddish and Spanish)
