Job summary

Liberty POST is seeking an Early Childhood Physical Therapist to work with children birth to 5 through Early Intervention and CPSE/CPSE programs in Hauppauge. Immediate positions are available in our sensory gym, with a supportive team and administrative backup.

Applicants must hold a NY State PT license, prefer 2+ years of pediatric experience, and be comfortable with EMR systems. We offer mentoring, CEU opportunities, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in NY required.
• Minimum of two years of experience with children preferred.
• Proficient with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track child progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Record information on treatment and progress in EMR in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain confidential records and documents.
• Conduct PT sessions for birth-5-year-olds in the sensory gym in Hauppauge.
• Follow state laws pertaining to EI and CPSE/CSE services.

Job description

Liberty POST (formerly Island Therapies) is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Physical Therapist (PT) to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs . Immediate positions are available in the sensory gym at our office in Hauppauge. As a team member you will have an opportunity to work with knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated colleagues with full administrative support.

We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Record information on treatment and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.
• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.
• Conduct physical therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, dyspraxia, gross motor delay, etc.) inour sensory gym in Hauppauge.
• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New York required.
• A minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers and databases
• A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Fee for service with possibility of part/full-time salaried position

Pay Rates

Office/Clinic Based (EI/CPSE): starting $30 for 30-minute session

Home/Community Based EI:

45 minutes: $57

60 minutes: $75

Home/Community Based CPSE starts at $35 for 30-minute session

Evaluations starting at $155
