Job summary

Liberty POST in Rochester, NY is seeking a motivated Early Childhood Teaching Assistant (TA) for part-time or full-time roles supporting children birth-5 in EI and CPSE/CSE programs.

Responsibilities include evaluating progress, documenting with EMR, writing analyses, and maintaining confidential records while complying with state regulations.

Candidates should have NY licensure/certifications, relevant EC education certs, and strong interpersonal skills; driver license preferred.

Qualifications

• Current NY licensure/certifications required or in process.
• EC Education (B-2) certification preferred.
• B-2 certification for disabilities preferred.
• Tier III Teacher Assistant certification encouraged.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• MS Word proficiency and comfort with computer systems.
• Valid driver's license.

• Evaluate, monitor, and track child progress; adjust treatment plans.
• Record initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in EMR promptly.
• Write detailed analyses and reports.
• Organize and maintain confidential records and documents.

Job description

Liberty POST is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Teaching Assistant (TA) for part-time and/or full-time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available in Rochester.

Liberty POST has offered its clients a range of high-quality and individualized services since 1994. Backed by Liberty Resources Inc. and part of a large social services circle, originally POST was a speech-language practice in Syracuse NY and has grown to provide a range of services throughout New York State and Indiana. We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play. We are focused on the importance of a child's natural learning environment, a family's unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, monitor and track child's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.


• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.


• Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports.


• Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child's records and other documentations.


• Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

• Current New York State Licensure and/or Certifications.


• Early Childhood Education (B-2) Certification preferred.


• Students with disabilities (B-2) Certification preferred.


• Tier III Teachers Assistant Certification


• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.


• Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computer systems


• Valid Driver's License


• Early Childhood Experience


• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Job Type:

Part-time, Full-time

Pay Rate:

$18 - $21 per hour
