Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical setting.
• Training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in this state.
• Knowledge of physical therapy procedures.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities; ability to work harmoniously with staff.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and interpret therapy programs and policies.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and therapy area appearance.
• Ability to relate resident’s condition information effectively.
• Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment background check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual therapy services per care plans.
• Assisting in resident assessments and developing therapy plans.
• Adjusting therapy plans as needed and coordinating with other departments.
• Participating in discharge planning and resident assessments.
• Interviewing residents and family members as necessary.
• Following safety standards in therapy procedures.
