Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for an outpatient clinic in Edison, NJ. The PT will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to restore function, mobility, and reduce pain.

The role involves a 40-hour work week, with Monday–Friday scheduling, and requires NJ licensure, DPT or equivalent, NPTE completion, and CPR/BLS certification. Compensation includes standard benefits and a yearly bonus.

Qualifications

• DPT or MS in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful NPTE completion.
• Active NJ PT license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of modalities and exercise prescription.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in outpatient/orthopedic rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical abilities and functional needs.

Location: Edison, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time

Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join an outpatient rehabilitation team in Edison, NJ. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to help patients restore function, improve mobility, and manage pain.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical abilities, limitations, and functional needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and appropriate pain-management techniques.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Follow applicable healthcare regulations, safety standards, and clinical best practices.
• Participate in initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities and exercise prescription.
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Prior clinical experience in an outpatient, orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday
• Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
• No weekend requirement

Patient Population & Caseload

• Adult patient population
• Approximately 20-25 patients per day
• Outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation setting
