Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; DPT preferred.
• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1+ year of physical therapy experience in acute, subacute, or outpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge of evaluation, rehabilitation techniques, mobility support, and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation to establish treatment goals and rehab needs.
• Develop and implement individualized PT plans based on progress.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities.
• Evaluate patient response and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients on safe movement and use of assistive devices.

Schedule: Part Time (On-site)

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Physical Therapist (Outpatient / Inpatient) in East Orange, NJ for our client, supporting patient evaluation, rehabilitation, mobility, and individualized physical therapy treatment. The Physical Therapist will primarily provide outpatient care with the opportunity to support inpatient rehabilitation for additional hours. This role works with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical patient populations in a collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities as the Physical Therapist (Outpatient / Inpatient)

• Patient Evaluation: Assess functional abilities, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs to establish appropriate treatment goals.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans based on patient conditions, functional needs, and clinical progress.
• Therapeutic Care: Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, functional activities, and other appropriate rehabilitation interventions.
• Progress Monitoring: Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust rehabilitation plans based on clinical findings and functional improvement.
• Mobility Support: Educate patients on safe movement techniques and the appropriate use of assistive or supportive equipment.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care and discharge planning.

Qualifications for the Physical Therapist (Outpatient / Inpatient)

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Licensure: Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license is required.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience: 1+ year of physical therapy experience in an acute care, subacute, or outpatient setting is preferred, with relevant clinical experience required.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of physical therapy evaluation, rehabilitation techniques, mobility support, treatment planning, and patient safety is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with clinical documentation, rehabilitation equipment, assistive devices, and electronic health record systems is required.
