Job summary

UPMC in Ebensburg, PA is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, and monitor progress to improve function and quality of life. We welcome new graduates and are willing to train the right candidate for our rehabilitation team, with a focus on patient-centered care and educating patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Schedule: a minimum of two shifts each month, Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy and monitor progress.
• Educate patients and families to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress.
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education.
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development.
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
