Job summary

UPMC in Seneca, PA is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to improve mobility and function. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with the care team, and adapt plans as progress occurs.

Training is available for new graduates and you will rotate through treatment areas as needed to support patient-centered care. Active state license and BLS/CPR are required, with opportunities to participate in staff

Qualifications

• Active PT license in the state of practice is required.
• CPR/BLS certification per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an APTA-approved PT program.
• Experience in acute care, long-term care, or inpatient rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans.
• Document care, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provide home exercise programs and patient education.
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development.
• May supervise PT students and residents.
• Adhere to quality customer service standards.

Physical Therapist

Schedule: Minimum of two weekend shifts each month. Additional shifts may be available based on department need.

About The Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family educationRotate through treatment areas as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents
• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service.
• Experience in acute care, long term care or inpatient rehab, preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

Active license in practicing state required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
