Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, establish plans of care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will document findings, discharge plans, and ensure adherence to Texas PT rules. Requires PT degree and Texas licensure; BLS within 14 days. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have PT degree from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document examinations and evaluations.
• Establish functional PT diagnosis, prognoses, and plans of care.
• Formulate treatment goals.
• Provide physical therapy intervention to patients.
• Measure and report outcomes.
• Formulate and carry out discharge plans.
• Supervise licensed and non-licensed staff or students.
• Interact and practice in collaboration with other professionals.
• Comply with the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Acts and Rules.
