Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital opened May 2026! Join our team at a beautiful new facility with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms equipped with cutting-edge technology.

The Physical Therapist evaluates, determines treatment strategies, and delivers services to restore function and independence for patients with acute or prolonged dysfunction. Ideal candidates hold state licensure, BLS, and inpatient rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and determine treatment strategies to restore function.
• Deliver and/or delegate services to address pain, mobility, and independence.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to maximize function.
• Document progress and coordinate care with the team.

Position Summary

Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
