Job summary

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan and deliver rehabilitation services in a new facility featuring 36 private rooms and modern therapy gyms. You will develop treatment strategies to restore independence in ADLs, IADLs, work, leisure and social participation.

The role requires current state licensure as an OT and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross (online certification not accepted); inpatient rehab experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and determine treatment strategies to maximize function in ADL, IADL, education, work, play and social participation.
• Deliver or delegate services to identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate dysfunction.
• Address dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition and sensorimotor components.
• Maintain clear, effective communication with patients and the care team.

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital opened May 2026! Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Shifts:

Weekdays/Weekends

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
