As a Physical Therapist, you will independently evaluate and determine treatment strategies, deliver and delegate services to identify and remediate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on maximizing patients' functional independence. Requires state licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, determine treatment strategies, and deliver or delegate services for acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.
• Apply therapies including exercise, and other procedures to maximize functional independence.
• Assess strength, motor control, joint mobility, balance, posture, and cardiopulmonary function.
• Support patients in activities of daily living and discharge planning.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
