IMC is currently looking to hire a Physical Therapist on a PRN basis. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patient needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, and be responsible for organizing and conducting medically necessary physical therapy to restore function, prevent disability, decrease pain, and promote healing following disease, injury, or sickness. The physical therapist will help the patient reach his/her maximum potential and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. This will be done in a variety of settings including home health, outpatient, and inpatient. The therapist will need knowledge and competency to provide care based on physical, psycho-social, educational level, and safety concerns for neonate, infant, toddler, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:

• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in physical therapy from an approved school.
• Current valid Physical Therapy License in Louisiana, or a temporary permit granted by LSBPTE.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• Successful completion of long-term clinical rotations in inpatient and outpatient environments from an accredited PT school, or one year of recent experience in inpatient or outpatient practice.

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate patients
• Treat patients
• Monitor and assess patients
• Supervise delivery of treatment to patients
• Reassess patients
• Assist director of rehab with development of policies and procedures
• Assist with scheduling of patients
• Documentation of patient care
• Assist with daily operations of outpatient and inpatient rehab services
