Job summary

A healthcare provider in the region is seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) to join their Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities. This role involves conducting patient evaluations, administering treatments, and supporting team tasks in a flexible work environment. Candidates must have a recognized Physical Therapy degree, a valid Ohio license, and strong communication abilities. One weekend shift per month is required, allowing for a balanced schedule to prioritize personal commitments.

Qualifications

  • Physical Therapy degree required from an accredited program.
  • Must have a current Physical Therapist license for Ohio.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to work in inpatient and acute care settings

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations and discharge summaries for patients.
  • Administer treatments based on evaluations.
  • Complete documentation and maintain productivity standards.
  • Delegate tasks to team members.
  • Participate in case management and departmental programs.
  • Perform non-clinical tasks to support smooth daily operations.
  • Engage in one to two departmental, hospital, or community programs/meetings.
  • Teach, orient, training, supervising, and mentoring co‑workers, volunteers, and students annually

  • PRN (hours vary) – 1 weekend day per month

Responsibilities
  • Conducting initial patient evaluations, reassessments, and discharge summaries for diverse populations.
  • Administering treatments based on evaluations and reassessments.
  • Completing documentation promptly and maintaining departmental productivity standards.
  • Delegating tasks appropriately to team members.
  • Participating in the case management of rehabilitation services.
  • Performing non‑clinical tasks to support smooth daily operations.
  • Engaging in one to two departmental, hospital, or community programs/meetings.
  • Teaching, orienting, training, supervising, and mentoring co‑workers, new employees, volunteers, and a minimum of one student annually.
Qualifications
  • Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required.
  • Current Physical Therapist license for the state of Ohio required.
  • BLS certification required within 30‑days of hire.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to problem‑solve, plan, and prioritize.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision‑making while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates a positive and constructive attitude, initiative, dependability, cooperation, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct as defined by the APTA’s Code of Ethics.
