Job summary

Premier Health Partners’ Miami Valley Hospital South in Centerville, OH is seeking a Physical Therapist (PRN) for outpatient Pelvic Health. You will contribute to interdisciplinary patient care teams, develop care plans with patients, and apply a range of treatment techniques within your scope of practice.

Requirements include a Physical Therapy degree, Ohio license, BLS within 30 days, and 1–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Ohio Physical Therapy license.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred experience: 1–3 years of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines.
  • Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management.
  • Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges.
  • Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants.
  • Provides patient/family education.
  • Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.
  • Manages case load per department standards.
  • Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience.
  • Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance

Physical Therapist (PRN)
  • Outpatient: Pelvic Health - PRN: 2 days week (No Weekends)
Position Summary

The Physical Therapist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.

The therapist participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The therapist is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department

Education

Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program

Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Current Physical Therapy license in State of Ohio.
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days hire
Experience

Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience.
