Job summary

Edgerton Hospital is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our clinical team in Edgerton, Wisconsin. You will lead the patient care team, perform evaluations, develop plans of care, and deliver direct patient care across inpatient, swing-bed rehab, and outpatient settings.

The role requires Wisconsin licensure or eligibility, BLS certification prior to independent practice, and a preference for candidates who can work weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Wisconsin or eligible with licensure application in progress.
• BLS certification prior to independent patient care.
• Membership in professional group encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the patient care team.
• Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care with individualized treatment strategies.
• Manage, organize, and provide direct patient care, using clinical decision making and prioritizing activities.
• Educate patient families and other health care team members about health maintenance and discharge planning.
• Supervise staff such as Physical Therapist Assistants and affiliating students.

Our Physical Therapist (PT) is a professional member of our healthcare team, who supports Edgerton Hospital by:

• Providing leadership and direction to the patient care team.
• Offers specialized physical therapy services to patients including evaluation and development of a plan of care which includes individualized treatment strategies.
• Managing, organizing, and providing direct patient care, incorporating clinical decision making and the prioritization of activities.
• Educating the patient's family and other health care team members by incorporating health maintenance, disease process, and discharge planning.
• Being responsible for the supervision of other staff, such as Physical Therapist Assistants and affiliating students.

Requirements

Training & Experience

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin, or eligibility and evidence of application for licensure
• Membership in professional group or organization is encouraged.
• BLS prior to independent patient care.

Preferences

• Preference will be given to candidates comfortable in evaluating and treating patients within inpatient, swing-bed rehab, and outpatient settings.
• Preference will be given to candidates available to work during the work week and weekends.
